🌈 We Have a Dream 🌈
Many years ago the Lord placed a dream in our hearts to have a retreat house for Christian ministry leaders, missionaries, couples or anyone in need of rest to come and "be." So much so, that we have looked at different venues and homes over the years thinking, "this is it", only to realize it was not time. We look back now and know that we were still in a time of preparation. In 2012 we came to the mountains looking for a piece of property to put our camping trailer on. Through a series of "God incidences", we came back with our "Lincoln Log" cabin nestled in an aspen grove complete with a view of the Sawatch Range and Buffalo Peaks Wilderness. We wondered how this could even be possible, but realized it was all His plan. The dream of a mountain home that would be used as a place of rest for those in need, and the opportunity to minister and serve others in the body of Christ in that home, began to stir and erupt in us in the spring of 2014. We suddenly knew it was time to step into the dream He placed inside of us years ago. It was time to allow the desires of our heart to come forth and follow the passion that burned inside of us. After all, we weren't getting any younger and we realized it was time to activate our faith in a big way and take the risk. 3 John 1:5-8 in The New Living Translation sums up our passion well……..
"Dear friend, you are doing a good work for God in taking care of the traveling teachers and missionaries who are passing through. They have told the church here of your friendship and your loving deeds. I am glad when you send them on their way with a generous gift. For they are traveling for the Lord and take neither food, clothing, shelter, nor money from those who are not Christians, even though they have preached to them. So we ourselves should take care of them in order that we may become partners with them in the Lord's work."
